Colt SAA 2nd Gen. 

Brand New, unused grips for the 2nd Generation Colt Single Action Army revolvers.  

IMPORTANT!! – In order to get the correct fit for your Colt SAA 2^nd Gen. revolver, please add a note to your order stating the date your revolver was manufactured.  Colt used several grip frame variations during this time.  If you do not know the date of manufacture, please send your serial number and we can look it up.  If we do not hear back from you, we will send the most common type in order to get these out on time.

Please note that these grips will NOT properly fit the 1st or 3rd Generation Colt SAA models. 

Also, these will NOT fit any revolvers of any different maker, including the Uberti, Pietta, or any other Italian or non-Italian clones.  If you have one of these, please see our store categories for the proper grips, or drop us an email and we will be happy to help.

These grips are manufactured using our exclusive Magna-Tusk™ Ivory substrate.  This is unquestionably the highest quality imitation ivory material in use today.  It was developed for high wear, high impact grip applications where high esthetic appearance and extreme durability are prime concerns.  This material has over 10 times the impact resistance of the typical bonded ivory material used in both factory and custom gripmaking.  Designed to last a lifetime of hard use.  Standard bonded ivory is fairly fragile and will usually break if dropped onto a hard floor or bumped against a hard surface, and was not designed for shooting and other similar applications involving recoil and impact stresses.  Magna-Tusk ivory is the first alternative ivory material developed to handle extreme impact, even including the full recoil of the mighty .454 Casull.  You can depend on Magna-Tusk Ivory grips to perform, year in and year out.

These outstanding Ivory grips have been enhanced using our exclusive "aging" process, yielding a product that is so authentic in appearance, it is difficult for most people to tell them apart from the real thing, even up close.  We have even had customers take their revolver in to seasoned gunsmiths, who commented on the grips and believed they were the genuine article.

Our exclusive aging characteristics, involving a proprietary high temperature/high pressure aging process, produces an authentic aged Ivory patina which, unlike a superficially painted surface, actually extends below the surface, into the grip material itself.  This surface is as durable as the real thing and will not chip, crack, or peel.  Just like real ivory, a subtle grain is visible below the surface.  These grips feature authentic color mottling, variegation, and subtle wear marks as seen on many of the revolvers which belonged to gunfighters and lawmen of the Old West.  With use and handling, the grips will continue to patina and will actually improve with age.  The more the grips are handled and used, just like with real ivory, the better they look! 

Grip screw included with all grips.  Minor fitting may be required depending on your grip frame.
