MAGNA-TUSK™
white STAG GRIPS
Simulated Stag Grips milled
out of a solid block of Magna-Tusk, denser and heavier than regular Ivory or
Stag. See below for details.
The
Uberti Birdshead is the ideal concealable revolver for today’s Western
enthusiast. The Bird’s Head grip design has been incorporated into Uberti’s Cattleman series
of 1873 Single Action Army revolvers in both standard and Stallion designs.
They are available in various barrel lengths and calibers.
The Bird’s Head grip was originally designed for Colt
Derringers in the 1850s. In 1877, Colt incorporated the distinctive and
comfortable grip style into full-frame revolvers called Bird’s Head
Colts.

two-PIECE (with SCREWHOLE) STYLE
THIS
AUCTION IS FOR OUR TWO-PIECE (SCREWHOLE) STYLE GRIPS. SEE BELOW.
********
ONE-PIECE VS. TWO-PIECE STYLE GRIPS:
A
Choice for Every User! Two-Piece style grips incorporate a visible screw and
screwhole, allowing easy and quick removal for cleaning or maintenance of your
revolver. One-piece style grips do not
use a screw but instead use an internal spacer.
Both styles are traditional and historical designs and both were
originally used on early Colts, so it is a matter of personal preference. Both styles of our grips will interchange
and work on either style of grip frame.
See below.
One-Piece style grips (i.e., grips
which do not have a visible screwhole in the grips) incorporate a user
installed spacer (included with the grips) between the grip panels, as seen on
many of the early Colts. The spacer is
sent unmounted to ensure optimum fit with your revolver, with simple, quick
installation which takes about one minute or so per grip. Fully illustrated instructions are
included. This results in a rock-tight
fit, without the need of a screw. Preferred
by many collectors for their clean lines and traditional look. One-Piece style
grips are removed by removing the three backstrap screws, and pulling the grip
and backstrap backwards. Reinstallation
is in reverse order.
Alternatively, our Two-Piece style
grips (i.e., grips with a visible screw and screwhole) offer the superior
convenience of quick grip removal. They
include a free Conversion kit, allowing
their use on revolvers that are currently using one-piece style grips that do
not have a grip pin. The conversion kit replaces
the need for a grip pin and is actually a stronger design, and allows the grips
to lock up tight on the frame, allowing no movement. This
requires no modification to your revolver and gives you the advantage of the
ease of maintenance of Two-Piece grips, while preserving the integrity of your
revolver in original factory condition. Two-Piece style grips were
also used on many of the early Colts, and are a traditional and iconic
historical design, offering a distinctive look and convenience preferred by
many collectors.
Fully illustrated, detailed instructions
are included with each set of grips. 01042300

WHAT
THESE WILL FIT (Please read this through in its entirety):
These grips WILL FIT the UBERTI BIRDSHEAD
1873 Single Action Army style revolvers. These grips will fit all Uberti Birdshead revolvers, whether
imported through Cimarron, Taylor’s & Co., Navy Arms, Stoeger, etc. If
it is made by Uberti, these will fit.
Please see the important note below.
*PLEASE NOTE – IMPORTANT!!:
If your Birdshead revolver is a “Doc Holliday” 1873 Cattleman birdshead, a
“Uberti Bonney” 1873 Cattleman birdshead,
a “Kenda Leseigne (CMS Pro) birdshead”,
a “Cattleman Stallion” birdshead, or a
“Uberti Short Stroke CMS Pro” birdshead,
please let us know via email immediately after the purchase, as these have special
grip requirements.
WHAT THESE WILL NOT FIT: this auction is for a Birdshead style grip, which has a smooth
curve on the backstrap, and will NOT
fit the somewhat similar Thunderer style revolvers (also made by Uberti and
marketed by Cimarron), which have a hump on the backstrap. Please
take a look at the pictures carefully to note the difference. If you
have a Thunderer style grip, please visit our store or check our other auctions
to find the correct grip. Or you can also click “Uberti” under our
Store Categories section at the left of this page.
Please
send us an email and tell us your specific model if you cannot locate what you

Arizona Custom Grips
About our exclusive Magna-Tusk™ “Hi-Grade”
Ivory Grips:
Magna-Tusk™ Ivory grips, an exclusive
of Arizona Custom Grips, are manufactured out of a super
high-grade, ultra-high density material developed exclusively for our
premium grip production. Vastly superior to standard material found on factory and other aftermarket Ivory grips, Magna-Tusk™ is capable of
withstanding the heaviest recoil and impact, and is the toughest alternative
stag material available today, while still retaining the pristine look of real stag. It is completely rock-solid, stable, and water, chemical, and
oil resistant. It is flame and heat resistant, and is entirely
void-free, with over 10x the strength, durability, and impact resistance of
alternative materials. Unlike with real ivory or stag, there is no routine
care and maintenance involved, with no danger of it drying out and cracking if
not maintained properly or if left in the heat. It is filled with
premium natural and synthetic compounds to produce outstanding aesthetic
properties and mechanical performance. When aged with our exclusive
aging process, it takes on the equivalent of a 100-year-old patina, with subtle
grain details which many experts cannot tell apart from the real thing. In
addition, the material has a fine grain structure, which holds intricate detail
for carvings, imitation stag, etc., found on many historic grips.
Grip screw included with all grips. The photo used is a stock photo (a sample pair) as
we carry an assortment of this style grip. Yours will appear similar to
these.
