two-PIECE (with SCREWHOLE) STYLE

One-Piece vs. Two-Piece Grips: Many people prefer the clean lines of a grip without a screwhole (One-Piece), while others prefer the look and convenience of a Two-Piece grip (with a screw), which is easier to remove for cleaning or maintenance.  Both styles were originally made by Colt in the 1800’s, and both are historically correct.  Whichever style you choose really depends on the look you are after.  We manufacture both styles.

Note: ANY of our grips, whether ONE-PIECE OR TWO PIECE style, will interchange and work on either style of grip frame. 

THIS AUCTION IS FOR THE TWO-PIECE (SCREWHOLE) STYLE.

We include, free of charge, a conversion kit which allows these two-piece grips to mount onto a one-piece style grip frame (without a grip pin).  Our conversion kit replaces the need for a grip pin and is actually a stronger design, and locks the grips up tight against the frame, allowing no movement.  This gives you the advantage of the ease of maintenance of two-piece grips, while preserving the integrity of your revolver in original factory condition. 

Grip screw, conversion kit, and full instructions with illustrations are included with each set of grips. 

Whichever style you choose, you are guaranteed to get the best quality grips on the market, made to last a lifetime, for your shooting pleasure and enjoyment.

What these will fit:

This auction is for a set of Genuine Magna-Tusk ™ Aged Simulated Stag grips for the ARMI SAN MARCO Model 1873 Single Action Army SAA revolvers.

What these will NOT fit:  Please note that these grips are made to fit only the ARMI SAN MARCO revolvers, with the typical “plowhandle” shaped gripframe.  The grips are around 3-1/16" to 3-1/8” tall, depending on how you hold your tape, ruler, or caliper.  They will NOT fit anything with a Bisley, Birdshead, Thunderer or Lightning style gripframe, which use a completely different shaped gripframe from the ones shown in the photos.  Additionally, they will NOT fit other makes and models of revolvers.

A note on the Italian-produced Revolvers:

The Italian firms, located in Northern Italy, have been making SAA style revolvers now for well over a half century, and have made numerous makes and models and grip frame profiles with varying configurations over the years.  We have an in-depth knowledge of the differing grip configurations, have a large library of gripframe variations from the various makers both old and new, and have vast experience making grips for Uberti, Pietta, as well as the other Italian gunmaking firms.   Our experienced makers go to great lengths to ensure an exacting fit, including utilizing modern precision CNC production techniques, as well as incorporating old-time hand tuning and hand checking the fit of every grip on our reference frames prior to leaving our factory.  We have a long list of many satisfied customers in the shooting industry who have purchased grips to use in a wide variety of applications, and we can safely and confidently guarantee proper fit and finish to your complete satisfaction.
