Note: Our grips feature the historically correct Colt two-piece
design (incorporating a screw), which is the original configuration as
developed by Colt on their Lightning and Thunderer revolvers.

ALL OF OUR TWO-PIECE GRIPS WILL WORK ON ONE-PIECE GRIP FRAMES

We include, free of
charge, a conversion kit which allows these two-piece grips to mount onto a
one-piece style grip frame (without a grip pin in the frame).  Our
conversion kit replaces the need for a grip pin and is actually a stronger
design, and locks the grips tightly against the frame, allowing no
movement.  This gives you the advantage of the ease of maintenance of
two-piece grips, while preserving the integrity of your revolver in original
factory condition.  Easy installation instructions, along with grip
screw included.

WHAT THESE WILL FIT:

Brand New, Magna-Tusk™
grips for the CIMARRON / UBERTI Thunderer 1873 Single
Action Army style revolvers.  This includes the Thunderer and the “Doc Holliday” Thunderer. 
These revolvers are made by Uberti, and imported by Cimarron.  These
grips will also fit the Cimarron / Uberti
Thunderstorm with the Thunderer-style gripframe (featuring the
backstrap hump, directly behind the hammer of the revolver).

What these WILL NOT fit:

These will NOT
fit the Pietta Thunderball, or any other make of revolver.  Your revolver
must be made by Uberti (imported by Cimarron) for these to fit.  If you are unsure what you have, please drop
us an email.

In addition, please note
that this auction is for the revolvers which have the humped curve on
the backstrap, and will NOT fit the somewhat similar Uberti Birdshead
style, which has a smooth backstrap (no hump).  Also, these will NOT
fit the Uberti Lightning, which uses a smaller grip.  Please take a
look at the pictures carefully to note the difference.  If you have a
Birdshead style grip, or a Lightning, please visit our store or check our other

Magna-Tusk™ Ivory grips, an exclusive of Arizona
Custom Grips, are manufactured out of a super high-grade, ultra-high
density Ivory material developed exclusively for our premium grip
production.  Vastly superior to standard
bonded ivory found on factory and other aftermarket Ivory grips, Magna-Tusk™ is
capable of withstanding the heaviest recoil and impact, and is the toughest
alternative ivory material available today, while still retaining the pristine
look of real ivory.  It is completely
rock-solid, stable, and water, chemical, and oil resistant.  It is flame and heat resistant, and is
entirely void-free, with over 10x the strength, durability, and impact
resistance of alternative materials. 
Unlike with real ivory, there is no routine care and maintenance
involved, with no danger of it drying out and cracking if not maintained
properly or if left in the heat.  It is
filled with premium natural and synthetic compounds to produce outstanding
aesthetic properties and mechanical performance.  When aged with our exclusive aging process,
it takes on the equivalent of a 100-year-old patina, with subtle grain details
which many experts cannot tell apart from the real thing.  In addition, the material has a fine grain
structure, which holds intricate detail for carvings, imitation stag, etc.,
found on many historic grips. 

About Our Aging Process:  The best Aged Ivory grips start
with the best materials.  Unlike the
commonly available “solid yellow” plastic grips which detract from the
appearance and handling of a revolver or firearm, our Aged Ivory grips are made
out of the best components available, incorporate natural materials, and
feature a genuine, authentic patina. 
Their authenticity is so convincing that many experts cannot tell it
apart from real Ivory.  The difference is
noticeable even in the photos, but is even more apparent in person.  These grips feature authentic color mottling,
variegation, and subtle wear marks as seen on many of the revolvers which
belonged to gunfighters and lawmen of the Old West. 

We offer the
highest quality, most authentic imitation Aged Ivory grips available anywhere
on the market. 

Our process
utilizes concentrated UV light (the essential aging property in natural
sunlight), and in addition employing heat and pressure in a special controlled
high oxygen-rich environment which accelerates the aging process.  Unlike a painted surface, our patina actually
extends below the surface, into
the grip material itself.  Not
only does it look better to begin with, but will not chip, crack, or peel, like
superficially applied surfaces.  With our
exclusive aging process, these grips are outstanding right out of the box, and
will continue to improve over time.  The
more these grips are handled and used, just like any genuine patina, the better
they look!
