ONE-PIECE VS. TWO-PIECE STYLE GRIPS EXPLAINED:

Note: One-Piece style grips do not have a visible
screw but instead use an internal spacer to mount the grips.  Two-Piece style grips incorporate a visible
screw, allowing easy and quick removal for cleaning or maintenance of your
revolver.  We manufacture both
types.  Both styles of our grips will
interchange and work on either style of grip frame, no matter how your revolver
is currently set up.  Both styles are
traditional and historical designs and both were originally used on early Colts,
so whichever style you choose is really a matter of personal preference. 

One-Piece
style grips (i.e., grips with no visible screwhole in the grips) incorporate a spacer
(included with the grips) which is user mounted to the back of the grip panels
to hold them in place instead of a using a screw.  Please note that the spacer is sent unmounted
to ensure optimum fit since all gripframes vary slightly.  Installation is simple and generally takes only
a few minutes.  This results in a rock-tight
fit, without the need of a screw. 
One-Piece grips are preferred by many collectors for their clean lines
and traditional look, and are seen on many early Colts. Once mounted, one-piece
grips can be taken on and off your revolver by removing the three backstrap
screws of your gripframe, and pulling the grip and backstrap backwards.  Reinstallation is in reverse order. 

Alternatively, our Two-Piece style
grips (i.e., grips with a visible screw) offer the superior convenience of
quick grip removal using only the single screw (included with the grips).  Our Two-Piece style grips also include our
proprietary Conversion Kit, allowing
their use on revolvers that do not have a grip pin in the frame (as is the case
with most Italian-made revolvers and others that currently have a one-piece
style grip).  The Conversion Kit replaces
the need for a grip pin and is actually a stronger design, and allows the grips
to lock up tight on the frame, allowing no movement.  This
requires no modification to your revolver. 
Two-piece grips give you the advantage of easier access to your revolver
for cleaning and maintenance, while preserving the integrity of your revolver
in original factory condition. Two-Piece style grips were also used
on many of the early Colts, and are a traditional and iconic historical design,
offering a distinctive look and convenience preferred by many shooters and collectors.

Colt Cowboy

Brand New, unused Magna-Tusk™ grips for the Colt
Cowboy revolvers.  

The Colt Cowboy was produced by Colt from 1998
to 2003.  Aimed toward the Cowboy Action
Shooting market, the Cowboy incorporated an investment cast receiver, transfer
bar safety, and enhanced lockwork meant to compete with revolvers such as the
Ruger Vaquero, while retaining the fine balance and handling of the classic
Single Action Army.  Many consider the Cowboy’s mechanical build quality to
be superior and more robust than the SAA, and better suited for the rigors
imposed upon it in the competitive shooting sports.  Since
being discontinued, the Cowboy has since garnered somewhat of a collectible status
in the market among Colt collectors and shooters alike. 

Please note that these grips will NOT properly fit the 1^st,
2nd or 3rd Generation Colt SAA models.   

Also, these will NOT fit any revolvers of any
different maker, including the Uberti, Pietta, or any other Italian or non-Italian

product of Arizona Custom Grips, are manufactured out of our
high-grade, high density ivory material designed exclusively as a premium,
high-strength grip material.  Vastly
superior to standard bonded ivory or stag found on most factory and other
aftermarket grips, Magna-Tusk™ is capable of withstanding the heaviest recoil
and impact, and is the toughest alternative grip material available today,
while still retaining the pristine look of real ivory or stag.  It is
rock-solid, stable, and water, chemical, and oil resistant.  It is
flame and heat resistant, and is entirely void-free, with over 10x the
strength, durability, and impact resistance of alternative materials.  Unlike
with real ivory or stag, there is no routine care and maintenance involved,
with no danger of it drying out and cracking if not maintained properly or if
left in the heat.  It is filled with premium natural compounds to
produce outstanding aesthetic properties and mechanical
performance.  When aged with our natural aging process, it takes on
the equivalent of a 100-year-old patina, with subtle grain details which many
experts cannot tell apart from the real thing.  In addition, the
material has a fine grain structure, which holds intricate detail for carvings,
artistic relief work, etc., found on many historic grips.
