This auction is for a set of Genuine Aged Magna-Tusk ™ Ivory grips for any of the 1860 Army style revolvers, either in the original Cap & Ball format or a Cartridge Conversion, from any maker, whether made by Colt, Uberti, Pietta, Armi San Marcos, etc.  The purchase price includes full custom fitting in our shop. 

We have a vast amount of experience in manufacturing custom-fitted grips for original Colt SAA's, Colt Bisleys, USFA SAA's, etc.  In order to do the custom fitting properly, we will need to send in your frontstrap (triggerguard), your backstrap only.  It is also helpful if we have the single screw at the bottom that holds the two pieces together.  We do not need the entire revolver, and no other parts are necessary (including the screws that hold the pieces onto the frame, which you can keep in a safe place).  Upon purchase of the grips, you will receive instructions on where to send the parts.  We also have “off the shelf” grips that should be a close match to your frame if you prefer to do it that way.

Magna-Tusk™ Ivory grips, an exclusive of Arizona Custom Grips, are manufactured out of a super high-grade, ultra-high density Ivory material developed exclusively for our premium grip production.  Vastly superior to standard bonded ivory found on factory and other aftermarket Ivory grips, Magna-Tusk™ is capable of withstanding the heaviest recoil and impact, and is the toughest alternative ivory material available today, while still retaining the pristine look of real ivory.  It is completely rock-solid, stable, and water, chemical, and oil resistant.  It is flame and heat resistant, and is entirely void-free, with over 10x the strength, durability, and impact resistance of alternative materials.  Unlike with real ivory, there is no routine care and maintenance involved, with no danger of it drying out and cracking if not maintained properly or if left in the heat.  It is filled with premium natural compounds to produce outstanding aesthetic properties and mechanical performance.  When aged with our exclusive aging process, it takes on the equivalent of a 100-year-old patina, with subtle grain details which many experts cannot tell apart from the real thing.  In addition, the material has a fine grain structure, which holds intricate detail for carvings, imitation stag, etc., found on many historic grips.
