Uberti 1858 Remington Revolvers:

These grips WILL FIT the UBERTI model 1858 Remington Revolvers (both the Cap & Ball AND Cartridge Conversion models), whether sold and marketed through Cimarron, Taylor’s & Co., E.M.F., Navy Arms, or other Importers.

IMPORTANT!  Uberti has produced several distinct variations of their 1858 gripframe over the years, and they are not interchangeable. 

To ensure that we get you get the correct version of grips, when you order please email us a picture of each side of your gripframe, with the grips removed.  We need to be able to see both sides of your gripframe clearly.  Also, please check your date code (see the second picture in the listing) and send that to us as well.  Note: if we do not receive this information from you, we will ship the most current and usual version in order to get the order out on time. 

What these WILL NOT FIT:  Please note that these grips are made only for Uberti revolvers.  These WILL NOT FIT revolvers made by Pietta, Armi San Marco, original Remington revolvers (Civil War era), or 1858 revolvers from any other maker.  If you have one of the Pietta revolvers or an original Remington, we also have grips for these listed.  Please let us know if you need help finding them, or if you have any questions.  We are happy to help.

Also note: because of occasional varying grip pin placement in a select few of some Uberti 1858 revolver frames, to ensure optimum fit we have made the grip pin holes slightly oversized on certain versions to allow them to easily drop into position.  If you find that there is excess movement of the grips on your frame, the grips can be bedded to the frame (a simple 5 minute procedure, instructions included with the grips) for a rock-tight fit.  This is not usually required but may be desired if your grip pin is located in a slightly high position.
