oNE-PIECE
(nO SCREWHOLE) STYLE

THIS AUCTION IS FOR OUR
ONE-PIECE (NO SCREWHOLE) STYLE GRIPS
SEE BELOW.

********

Note: ANY of
our grips, whether ONE-PIECE OR TWO PIECE style, will interchange and
work on either style of grip frame.

One-Piece style grips (i.e., grips
which do not have a visible screwhole) incorporate a user installed spacer
between the grip panels, as found on many of the early Colts.  This results in a rock-tight fit, without the
use of a screw.  Preferred by many
collectors for their clean lines and traditional look, One-Piece style grips
can be removed by removing the three backstrap screws, and pulling the grip and
strap backwards.  Reinstallation is in
reverse order.  Note: if using One-Piece
style grips on gripframes currently set up for Two-Piece grips (i.e., frames
where there is a grip pin installed in the frame), the grip pin must first be
pressed or tapped out of the frame prior to installation to enable later
removal of the grips.

Alternatively, our Two-Piece style
grips offer the superior convenience of quick grip removal (i.e., the backstrap
need not be removed to remove the grips).
Our Two-Piece grips will also work on either style of gripframe.  In addition to the screw and pre-installed
hardware, our Two-Piece grips come with our exclusive free Conversion Kit to enable
their use on a One-Piece style grip frame without any modification to your revolver.

Our conversion kit replaces the need for a grip pin and is
actually a stronger design, and locks the grips up tight against the frame,
allowing no movement.
This gives you the advantage of the ease of maintenance of
Two-Piece grips, while preserving the integrity of your revolver in original
factory condition.  Two-Piece style grips were also used on many of the early Colts, and are
a traditional and iconic historical design, offering a distinctive look and
convenience preferred by many collectors.

Fully illustrated, detailed instructions
are included with each set of grips.

WHAT THESE WILL FIT

These grips WILL FIT the UBERTI 1860
Army
Cap & Ball (Black Powder Percussion) revolvers ONLY.

These revolvers are
commonly imported by Cimarron, Taylor’s & Co., Dixie Gun Works, etc.  No matter who the importer was, it is
important that you please check your revolver and verify that it was made by
Uberti.

IMPORTANT!! (Please read the following in its
entirety):

Please note that these WILL NOT FIT the Uberti 1860
Army Cartridge Conversion revolvers.  Cartridge Conversion revolvers are 1860 Army
revolvers set up by the Uberti factory to use metallic cartridges, and not Percussion
caps.  If your revolver was set up by the
factory to fire metallic cartridges, these grips WILL NOT fit.  You can find the correct grips for your
Cartridge Conversion revolver in our store, or please email for assistance.

Note that if you are using a “Conversion
Cylinder” in a revolver that originally shipped from the factory set up for Cap
& Ball (Percussion), then you still have a Cap & Ball revolver gripframe
and these grips WILL work.  The important
thing to note is how the revolver was originally set up by the factory.

Also please note that the Uberti
1860 Army grips measure around 3-3/8”
tall
.  These WILL NOT FIT the shorter 3-1/8” tall gripframes such as used on the
1851 Navy.  It is important to double
check your grip height before ordering, to make sure that you are purchasing
the correct grips for your revolver.  With
your existing grips standing up on a table, measure up from the table to the upper
tip of the nose.

Finally, please note
that these will NOT fit
revolvers made by Pietta, Colt, Armi San Marco, or any other make of 1860 Army revolver.  These
will ONLY fit the Uberti.

We have grips for most of the other makes and models of
revolvers.  You can find many of these in
our store.  If you have any questions or
cannot find what you need, please drop us an email.  We will be happy to help.

A note on the
Italian-produced Revolvers:

The Italian firms,
located in Northern Italy, have been making SAA style revolvers now for well
over a half century, and have made a huge number of makes and models and grip
frame profiles with varying configurations over the years.  We have an
in-depth knowledge of the differing grip configurations, have a large library
of gripframe variations from the various makers both old and new, and have vast
experience making grips for Uberti, Pietta, Armi San Marco, and the other
Italian gunmaking firms.   Our experienced makers go to great lengths
to ensure an exacting fit, including utilizing modern precision CNC production
techniques, as well as incorporating old-time hand tuning and hand checking the
fit of every grip on our reference frames prior to leaving our factory.
We have a long list of many satisfied customers in the shooting industry who
have purchased grips to use in a wide variety of applications, and we can
safely and confidently guarantee proper fit and finish to your complete
satisfaction.

Arizona Custom Grips

About our exclusive Magna-Tusk™ “Hi-Grade”
Ivory Grips:

Our Ivory grips, an exclusive of Arizona Custom Grips,
are made out of a premium high-grade, ultra-high density ivory material (Magna-Tusk™), designed from the ground
up as a premium grip material to greatly improve on the inherent fragility and
weakness of the cheaper Bonded Ivory used on just about all factory and regular
aftermarket ivory grips today.  Standard
Bonded Ivory is brittle, and tends to weaken and develop stress fractures over
time with repeated use, firing, and handling.
Magna-Tusk™ is capable of withstanding the heaviest recoil and impact,
and is the toughest alternative Ivory grip material available today, while
still retaining the pristine look of real ivory.  These grips are not
cast or made out of an inferior, lightweight material, but are heavy and dense,
carefully milled out of a solid block, one at a time.  Magna-Tusk is completely rock-solid, stable,
and water, chemical, and oil resistant.  It is flame and heat
resistant, will not melt like Urethane or plastic, and is entirely void-free,
with over 10x the strength, durability, and impact resistance of alternative
materials.  Unlike with real ivory, there is no routine care and
maintenance involved, with no danger of it drying out and cracking if not
maintained properly or if left in the heat.  It is produced with outstanding
aesthetic properties and mechanical performance.  When aged with our
exclusive aging process, it takes on the equivalent of a 100-year-old patina,
with subtle grain details which most experts cannot tell apart from the real
thing.  In addition, the material has a fine grain structure, which
holds intricate detail for carvings, artistic relief work, etc., found on many
historic grips.

About Our Aging Process:

We
go to great efforts to ensure that our Aged Ivory not only looks similar to real aged ivory, but in fact looks
identical to the real thing.  Our Magna-Tusk blanks will produce an aged
Ivory grip unlike any other material made today.  Through our slow aging process, these grips become
beautifully mottled, variegated, and weathered just like old, antique Ivory, and incorporate other authentic details
found on original old Ivory as seen on many of the revolvers which belonged to
gunfighters and lawmen of the Old West.
As with real aged Ivory, no two are exactly the same.  Our process produces an authentic appearance
and genuine patina which extends deep into the surface.
Not
only does this give it the appearance of authenticity and depth, but this
surface will not chip, crack, or peel like a superficially applied
coating.
With Magna-Tusk aged grips, most experts
cannot tell them apart from a decades-old or even a centuries-old original.  While the quality difference is somewhat
noticeable in the photos, the difference is even more apparent when seen and
handled in person.  Many of our repeat sales
are made by the very customers we sell to, who take their grips to the range or
club, where our grips are immediately seen and noticed by others.  We are also capable of producing them with a
“clean” aged look if required (i.e., without the mottling, etc.), which is a
simpler process, although most would agree that they do not look quite as
authentic as our regular aged grips.  If
you are interested in ordering grips for a Brace of pistols, please order both
sets together, so we can ensure a good matchup.

Dense, heavy, and solid, Magna-Tusk grips are in a class all their
own.
With our exclusive aging process, these grips
are outstanding right out of the box, and will continue to improve over
time.  The more these grips are handled
and used, the better they look!
