ONE-PIECE (NO SCREWHOLE) STYLE grips
THIS LISTING IS FOR OUR ONE-PIECE (NO SCREWHOLE) STYLE GRIPS
********
ONE-PIECE VS. TWO-PIECE STYLE GRIPS EXPLAINED:
Note: One-Piece style grips do not have a visible screw but instead use an internal spacer to mount the grips. Two-Piece style grips incorporate a visible screw, allowing easy and quick removal for cleaning or maintenance of your revolver. We manufacture both types. Both styles of our grips will interchange and work on either style of grip frame, no matter how your revolver is currently set up. Both styles are traditional and historical designs and both were originally used on early Colts, so whichever style you choose is really a matter of personal preference.
One-Piece style grips (i.e., grips with no visible screwhole in the grips) incorporate a spacer (included with the grips) which is user mounted to the inside of the grip panels to hold them in place instead of a using a screw. To ensure optimum fit and best performance, the spacer is sent unmounted since all gripframes vary slightly in inside dimensions. Installation is simple and generally takes only a few minutes. Illustrated instructions included with each order. This results in a rock-tight fit, without the need of a screw. One-Piece grips are preferred by many collectors for their clean lines and traditional look, and are seen on many early Colts. Once mounted, they are fully removable by removing the three backstrap screws, and will not alter your revolver in any way. Reinstallation is in reverse order.
Alternatively, our Two-Piece style grips (i.e., grips with a visible screw) offer the superior convenience of quick grip removal using only the screw (also included with the grips). Our Two-Piece style grips also include our proprietary Conversion Kit, allowing their use on revolvers that do not have a grip pin in the frame (as is the case with most Italian-made revolvers and others that currently have a one-piece style grip). The Conversion Kit replaces the need for a grip pin and is actually a stronger design, and allows the grips to lock up tight on the frame, allowing no movement. This requires no modification to your revolver. Two-piece grips give you the advantage of easier access to your revolver for cleaning and maintenance, while preserving the integrity of your revolver in original factory condition. Two-Piece style grips were also used on many of the early Colts, and are a traditional and iconic historical design, offering a distinctive look and convenience preferred by many shooters and collectors.
Fully illustrated, easy-to-follow mounting instructions are included with every order.

These grips WILL FIT the following Uberti revolvers, which have the “Army Sized” grip frame (around 3-3/8” tall) :
* Uberti / Cimarron 1860 Army Richards Transition Model Type II
* Uberti / Cimarron 1860 Army Richards-Mason Conversion
* Uberti / Cimarron 1872 Open Top Army, also known as: Colt Model 1871 Open Top, or 1871-72 Open Top. (Note: these will NOT fit the Open Top “Navy” sized revolvers, which use a grip approx. 3-1/8” tall. Your grips should be around 3-3/8” tall for these to fit.)
* Uberti / Taylor’s & Co. “C. Mason” 1860 Army Revolver. (Note: these will NOT fit the 1851 Navy style revolvers, which use a grip approx. 3-1/8” tall)
* Uberti / Taylor’s & Co. “Open Top” 1860 Army Revolver. (Again, these will NOT fit the 3-1/8” tall 1851 Navy style revolvers)
* THESE WILL ALSO FIT other Uberti made revolvers chambered by Uberti to fire metallic cartridges, based on the “Army” sized gripframe with a grip height of approx. 3-3/8”; such as the Taylor’s & Co. (Uberti) Gunfighter, and Gunfighter Defender; Taylor’s (Uberti) Cattleman .44 Mag.; Taylor’s Hickock Conversion; the Uberti .44 Magnum Callahan; the Uberti 1873 Cattleman Ursus 10mm; the Cimarron (Uberti) Bad Boy; or the Uberti El Patron Grizzly Paw.
UBERTI GRIPFRAME VARIATIONS -- IMPORTANT!
→ PLEASE NOTE!! Over the years Uberti has used multiple variations of gripframes on their SAA style revolvers, and each uses a slightly different grip. We carry grips for each of these different profiles. In order for us to ensure that you get the proper grips, please add a note to your order with the following date-code information:
IF your revolver has a two-digit date code inside a small rectangular box, or circle, as shown in the second picture in this listing, OR if your revolver alternatively is marked with Roman numerals (i.e., “XXX” or “XXIV”), please attach a note to your order with that information. Please note that some of the newer revolvers have the actual date stamped on the frame (i.e., “2022”), so if that is the case please send that. Also note that these codes or dates are sometimes also stamped on the side of the mainframe (under the cylinder), or at the base of the barrel. Please inspect your revolver carefully under good light for this information.
If after a careful inspection you find that your revolver does not have the code (which some of the newer revolvers do not), please send us the first three digits of the serial number.
Please note that if we do not hear from you, we will send the most common style grip profile in order to get the grip out on time.
Note: “PN” and “CIP” are Italian proof marks and are NOT the correct date codes.
What these will NOT fit:
Please note that these WILL NOT FIT the Uberti 1860 Army Black Powder (Percussion, or “Cap & Ball”) revolvers. These revolvers use a different grip frame. Please be aware that just because you may be using a CONVERSION CYLINDER in an 1860 Army percussion revolver to fire metallic cartridges, if the revolver came from the factory set up as a percussion gun, you still have a percussion revolver frame, and these will NOT fit. Please contact us for the proper grips if you have the percussion style 1860 Army.
In addition, these WILL NOT FIT anything with a 3-1/8” tall gripframe. Your grip frame MUST be around 3-3/8” tall for these to fit. It is important to double check your grip height before ordering, because some of the models listed above also ship with an 1851 Navy sized grip (at approx. 3-1/8”), which are shorter than the 1860 Army (at approx. 3-3/8”). Please contact us if you cannot locate the correct grips for your revolver; we are happy to help.

Arizona Custom Grips
About Magna-Tusk™ Ivory and Stag Grips:
Magna-Tusk™ Ivory and Stag grips, a product of Arizona Custom Grips, are manufactured out of our high-grade, high density ivory material designed exclusively as a premium, high-strength grip material. Vastly superior to standard bonded ivory or stag found on most factory and other aftermarket grips, Magna-Tusk™ is capable of withstanding the heaviest recoil and impact, and is the toughest alternative grip material available today, while still retaining the pristine look of real ivory or stag. It is rock-solid, stable, and water, chemical, and oil resistant. It is flame and heat resistant, and is entirely void-free, with over 10x the strength, durability, and impact resistance of alternative materials. Unlike with real ivory or stag, there is no routine care and maintenance involved, with no danger of it drying out and cracking if not maintained properly or if left in the heat. It is filled with premium natural compounds to produce outstanding aesthetic properties and mechanical performance. When aged with our natural aging process, it takes on the equivalent of a 100-year-old patina, with subtle grain details which many experts cannot tell apart from the real thing. In addition, the material has a fine grain structure, which holds intricate detail for carvings, artistic relief work, etc., found on many historic grips.

About Our Aging Process:
We go to great efforts to ensure that our Aged Ivory or Stag not only looks similar to, but in fact looks identical to the real thing. Our Magna-Tusk blanks will produce an aged Ivory grip unlike any other material made today. Our aged grips feature an authentic aged patina, just like the originals, with a process incorporating concentrated U.V. light (the essential aging property in natural sunlight), along with a developer/control agent that is put on the grips to carefully control U.V. absorption, in a sealed, high-oxygen environment to accelerate the natural aging process.
Through this aging process, these grips become beautifully mottled, variegated, and weathered just like old, antique Ivory, and incorporate other authentic details found on original old Ivory as seen on many of the revolvers which belonged to gunfighters and lawmen of the Old West. As with real aged Ivory, Magna-Tusk develops a variegated patina due to its authentic grain structure, and natural aging produces an authentic appearance and genuine patina which extends into and below the surface. Not only does this give it the appearance of authenticity and depth, but this surface will not chip, crack, or peel like a superficially applied coating. With Magna-Tusk aged grips, most experts cannot tell them apart from a decades-old or even a centuries-old original. While the quality difference is somewhat noticeable in the photos, the difference is even more apparent when seen and handled in person. Many of our repeat sales are made by the very customers we sell to, who take their grips to the range, where our grips are immediately seen and noticed by others. If you are interested in ordering grips for a Brace of pistols, please order both sets together, and we will ensure a better matchup when selecting pairs.
Dense, heavy, and solid, Magna-Tusk grips are in a class all their own. With our exclusive aging process, these grips are outstanding right out of the box, and will continue to improve over time. The more these grips are handled and used, the better they look!

*PLEASE NOTE: Over the years Uberti has used multiple variations of gripframes on
their SAA style revolvers, and they are not interchangeable. IF
your revolver has a two-digit code inside a small rectangular box (as shown in
the second picture in this listing), or if your revolver alternatively is
marked with Roman numerals (i.e., “XXX” or “XXIV”), please send that code to
us. If after a careful inspection you
find that your revolver does not have the code (which many of the newer
revolvers do not), you do not need to send the code.
What these WILL NOT FIT:
These WILL NOT FIT any revolvers from
other makers (such as Pietta, Armi San Marco, Colt, Ruger, etc.). Also, these will NOT fit revolvers
using a gripframe that is not the standard “plowhandle” shape, such as the
Bisley, the Birdshead, the Thunderer, Thunderball, or the Lightning style
gripframes, nor any of the Remington style revolvers such as the 1858, 1875, or
1890.
Please take a careful look at the shape of your gripframe. These are for the “plowhandle” style
revolvers only.

Arizona Custom Grips
About our exclusive Magna-Tusk™ “Hi-Grade”
Ivory Grips:
Our Ivory grips, an exclusive of Arizona Custom Grips,
are made out of a premium high-grade, ultra-high density ivory material (Magna-Tusk™), designed from the ground
up as a premium grip material to greatly improve on the inherent fragility and
weakness of the cheaper Bonded Ivory used on just about all factory and regular
aftermarket ivory grips today. Standard
Bonded Ivory is brittle, and tends to weaken and develop stress fractures over
time with repeated use, firing, and handling.
Magna-Tusk™ is capable of withstanding the heaviest recoil and impact,
and is the toughest alternative Ivory grip material available today, while
still retaining the pristine look of real ivory. These grips are not
cast or made out of an inferior, lightweight material, but are heavy and dense,
carefully milled out of a solid block, one at a time. Magna-Tusk is completely rock-solid, stable,
and water, chemical, and oil resistant. It is flame and heat resistant,
will not melt like Urethane or plastic, and is entirely void-free, with over
10x the strength, durability, and impact resistance of alternative
materials. Unlike with real ivory, there is no routine care and
maintenance involved, with no danger of it drying out and cracking if not
maintained properly or if left in the heat. It is produced with outstanding
aesthetic properties and mechanical performance. When aged with our
exclusive aging process, it takes on the equivalent of a 100-year-old patina,
with subtle grain details which most experts cannot tell apart from the real
thing. In addition, the material has a fine grain structure, which
holds intricate detail for carvings, artistic relief work, etc., found on many

own. With our exclusive aging process, these grips
are outstanding right out of the box, and will continue to improve over
