oNE-PIECE
(nO SCREWHOLE) STYLE

One-Piece vs. Two-Piece: Many
people prefer the clean lines of a grip without a screwhole (One-Piece), while
others prefer the look and convenience of a Two-Piece grip (with a screw), which
is easier to remove for cleaning or maintenance.  Both styles were originally made by Colt in
the 1800’s, and both are historically correct.
Whichever style you choose really depends on the look you are
after.  We manufacture both styles.

Note: ANY of our
grips, whether ONE-PIECE OR TWO PIECE style, will work on a One-Piece
Gripframe.

THIS AUCTION IS FOR THE ONE-PIECE (NO SCREWHOLE) STYLE.

One-Piece grips use a spacer (user
installed) between the panels instead of a screw, which results in a rock-tight
fit.  Our Two-Piece grips on the other
hand come with a free Conversion Kit to enable use on your grip frame, without
any modification of your revolver.  Full
instructions with illustrations are included with each set of grips.  Whichever style you choose, you are
guaranteed to get the best quality grips on the market, made to last a
lifetime, for your shooting pleasure and enjoyment.

WHAT THESE WILL FIT (Please read this through in its
entirety)
:

This auction is
for a set of Genuine Magna-Tusk ™ Ivory grips for ANY of the UBERTI
1873 Single Action Army “plowhandle” style revolvers.

These will be
marked “Uberti,” and may also (but not necessarily) be marked by the U.S. importer,
such as “Cimarron,” “Taylors & Co.”, “Navy Arms”, or “EMF”, etc.

Please note that
Uberti has made many SAA’s with specific model names in addition to their
standard “SAA” revolvers.  Our grips have been properly machined and
fitted to fit any and all of these
.

Examples: Cimarron
/ Uberti Cattleman, 1873 Cattleman II, Cimarron Model P, Evil Roy, El Patron, Hombre*,
American Arms Regulator*, Cimarron New Sheriff, Uberti US 7th
Cavalry, U.S.V. Artillery,
and Cavalry
Scout
, Pistoleer, Holy Smoker, Wyatt Earp Buntline, Rooster
Shooter
, Chisholm, Cody, Desperado, Frisco, Old West, Stallion, Buntline, Horseman, SASS Pro, CMS Pro, E.M.F.
Dakota II* or Dakota III*;

Also:  Taylor’s & Co.  Smoke
Wagon
, Cattleman, Gambler, Cattleman 12-Shot, Runnin’
Iron
, Taylor Marshall, Drifter, Devil Anse, Old Randall*,
and Ranch Hand*;

OR ANY OF THE OTHER STANDARD “PLOWHANDLE” STYLE PISTOLS.

*PLEASE NOTE: if you have a BRASS
gripframe (such as found on the Hombre,
the Regulator, the Dakota II or III, Old Randall, or Ranch Hand
revolvers, for example), you MUST
contact us prior to ordering and let us check availability, as these
incorporate additional grip requirements and machining cuts.

What these WILL NOT FIT:

1.  Please note that these grips are made to fit ONLY the Uberti Model 1873 style Single Action revolvers, with the
typical “plowhandle” shaped gripframe, and will NOT fit any other make of revolver (such as Pietta, Armi San
Marco, Colt, Ruger, etc.).  These grips will
also NOT fit the Bisley, the
Birdshead, the Thunderer or the Lightning style revolvers, from ANY maker, which
use a completely different shaped grip frame.
Please email if you have any questions.

2.  In addition, these WILL NOT FIT grip frames which are around 3-1/2” tall.  To make sure you are ordering the correct
grip, please check your grip frame measurement prior to ordering.  Y
our grips
or grip frame should measure somewhere between 3-1/16 – 3-1/8” tall, depending on how you hold your ruler,
tape, or caliper.  The important thing is
to make sure they are NOT around 3-1/2” tall.
Taylor & Co.’s Gunfighter, and the Uberti Callahan,
for example, have the taller (3-1/2” tall) grip frame.   If you
have one of these, our Uberti 1860 Army Conversion & Metallic Cartridge
revolver grips (which are 3-1/2” tall) will work for these.

Please send us an
email and tell us your specific model if you cannot locate what you need.  We are always happy to help.

A note on
the Italian-produced Revolvers:

The
Italian firms, located in Northern Italy, have been making SAA style revolvers
now for well over a half century, and have made a huge number of makes and
models and grip frame profiles with varying configurations over the years.  We have an in-depth knowledge of the
differing grip configurations, have a large library of gripframe variations
from the various makers both old and new, and have vast experience making grips
for Uberti, Pietta, Armi San Marco, and the other Italian gunmaking firms.   Our experienced makers go to great lengths
to ensure an exacting fit, including utilizing modern precision CNC production
techniques, as well as incorporating old-time hand tuning and hand checking the
fit of every grip on our reference frames prior to leaving our factory.  We have a long list of many satisfied
customers in the shooting industry who have purchased grips to use in a wide
variety of applications, and we can safely and confidently guarantee proper fit
and finish to your complete satisfaction.

Arizona Custom Grips

About Magna-Tusk™ Ivory
and Stag Grips:

Magna-Tusk™ Ivory and Stag grips, a
product of Arizona Custom Grips, are manufactured out of our
high-grade, high density ivory material designed exclusively as a premium,
high-strength grip material.  Vastly
superior to standard bonded ivory or stag found on most factory and other
aftermarket grips, Magna-Tusk™ is capable of withstanding the heaviest recoil
and impact, and is the toughest alternative grip material available today,
while still retaining the pristine look of real ivory or stag.  It is
rock-solid, stable, and water, chemical, and oil resistant.  It is
flame and heat resistant, and is entirely void-free, with over 10x the
strength, durability, and impact resistance of alternative materials.  Unlike
with real ivory or stag, there is no routine care and maintenance involved,
with no danger of it drying out and cracking if not maintained properly or if
left in the heat.  It is filled with premium natural compounds to
produce outstanding aesthetic properties and mechanical
performance.  When aged with our natural aging process, it takes on
the equivalent of a 100-year-old patina, with subtle grain details which many
experts cannot tell apart from the real thing.  In addition, the
material has a fine grain structure, which holds intricate detail for carvings,
artistic relief work, etc., found on many historic grips.

About Our Aging Process:

We
go to great efforts to ensure that our Aged Ivory or Stag not only looks similar to, but in fact looks identical to the real thing.  Our Magna-Tusk blanks will produce an aged
Ivory grip unlike any other material made today.
Our aged grips feature an
authentic aged patina, just like the originals, with a process incorporating
concentrated U.V. light (the essential aging property in natural sunlight), along
with a developer/control agent that is put on the grips to carefully control
U.V. absorption, in a sealed, high-oxygen environment to accelerate the natural
aging process.

Through
this aging process, these grips become beautifully mottled, variegated, and
weathered just like old, antique Ivory,
and incorporate other authentic details found on original old Ivory as seen on
many of the revolvers which belonged to gunfighters and lawmen of the Old West.  As with real aged Ivory, Magna-Tusk develops
a variegated patina due to its authentic grain structure, and natural aging
produces an authentic appearance and genuine patina which extends into and
below the surface.
Not only does this give it the appearance of
authenticity and depth, but this surface will not chip, crack, or peel like a
superficially applied coating.
With Magna-Tusk aged
grips, most experts cannot tell them apart from a decades-old or even a
centuries-old original.  While the
quality difference is somewhat noticeable in the photos, the difference is even
more apparent when seen and handled in person.
Many of our repeat sales are made by the very customers we sell to, who
take their grips to the range, where our grips are immediately seen and noticed
by others.  If you are interested in
ordering grips for a Brace of pistols, please order both sets together, and we
will ensure a better matchup when selecting pairs.

Dense, heavy, and solid, Magna-Tusk grips are in a class all their
own.
With our exclusive aging process, these grips
are outstanding right out of the box, and will continue to improve over
time.  The more these grips are handled
and used, the better they look!
