Brand New, unused grips for the UBERTI BISLEY Single Action Army style revolver. 

This auction is for a set of Genuine Aged JOHN WAYNE Magna-Tusk ™ Ivory grips for ANY of the current or former Uberti made revolvers.  Please read the important note below!

PLEASE NOTE: 

Uberti used various Bisley grip frames which have distinct profiles.  In order for us to get you the correct grip, after ordering please send us an immediate followup email indicating the following:

1)  Whether your revolver has a one-piece or a two-piece grip frame (two-piece grip frames are similar to a Colt SAA, where the frontstrap / triggerguard can be separated from the Backstrap by a small screw on the bottom of the gripframe, whereas a one-piece grip frame is cast as a single unit and the frontstrap and backstrap cannot be separated);

2)   Whether your grip frame has one grip pin or two grip pins (these pins stick out from the side of the grip frame on both sides, and there will be at least one pin in the heel area on all revolvers (please note that you may either see the pin itself or just a hole if the pin is missing); also on some revolvers there may be an additional grip pin on the front strap right above the mainspring screw – this pin is cast into the frame and is not removeable); and

3)  Right in front of the triggerguard on the underside of the revolver, above the serial number, is a two-letter code in a square box (i.e., “BU”, “CN”, etc.).  Please send us the letters in the box as this will give us additional information on your grip frame.

Additional Note: This auction is offered for Uberti Bisley style revolvers ONLY, whether sold and marketed through Cimarron, Taylors & Co., Stoeger, Navy Arms, etc.  They are not intended for other makes and models from other manufacturers (such as Ruger, Colt, Pietta, etc.)  If you have a Colt, Pietta or other make of revolver and would like a grip, please email and we will make our best efforts to accommodate you as our schedule permits.  Some of these we already have on auction.  Feel free to contact us with your needs or questions.

About our exclusive Magna-Tusk™ “Hi-Grade” Ivory Grips:

Magna-Tusk™ Ivory grips, an exclusive of Arizona Custom Grips, are manufactured out of a super high-grade, ultra-high density Ivory material developed exclusively for our premium grip production.  Vastly superior to standard bonded ivory found on factory and other aftermarket Ivory grips, Magna-Tusk™ is capable of withstanding the heaviest recoil and impact, and is the toughest alternative ivory material available today, while still retaining the pristine look of real ivory.  It is completely rock-solid, stable, and water, chemical, and oil resistant.  It is flame and heat resistant, and is entirely void-free, with over 10x the strength, durability, and impact resistance of alternative materials.  Unlike with real ivory, there is no routine care and maintenance involved, with no danger of it drying out and cracking if not maintained properly or if left in the heat.  It is filled with premium natural and synthetic compounds to produce outstanding aesthetic properties and mechanical performance.  When aged with our exclusive aging process, it takes on the equivalent of a 100-year-old patina, with subtle grain details which many experts cannot tell apart from the real thing.  In addition, the material has a fine grain structure, which holds intricate detail for carvings, imitation stag, etc., found on many historic grips. 

About Our Aging Process:  Unlike the inferior looking, cheaply made “solid yellow” plastic grips sometimes seen for sale, our grips feature a genuine, authentic patina that many experts cannot tell apart from the real thing.  The difference is noticeable even in the photos, but is even more apparent in person.  These grips feature authentic color mottling, variegation, and subtle wear marks as seen on many of the revolvers which belonged to gunfighters and lawmen of the Old West. 

We offer the highest quality, most authentic imitation Aged Ivory grips available anywhere on the market. 

Our process utilizes concentrated UV light (the essential aging property in natural sunlight), and in addition employing heat and pressure in a special controlled high oxygen-rich environment which accelerates the aging process.  Unlike a painted surface, our patina actually extends below the surface, into the grip material itself.  Not only does it look better to begin with, but will not chip, crack, or peel, like superficially applied surfaces.  The result is nothing short of spectacular -- an outstanding, authentic, genuine aged surface without a 100-year wait.  With our exclusive aging process, these grips are outstanding right out of the box, and will continue to improve over time.  The more these grips are handled and used, just like any genuine patina, the better they look! 

Please note: We make every effort to ensure the best fit possible.  Besides using exacting standards and state-of-the art-equipment in our manufacturing operations, every set of grips is hand checked on our test frame for proper fit prior to leaving our factory.  This ensures the best fit in the industry.  Occasionally, minor fitting may be (but is not usually) required.  Full instructions included with each grip.
