Note: Our grips feature the historically correct Colt two-piece
design (incorporating a screw), which is the original configuration as
developed by Colt on their Lightning and Thunderer revolvers.

ALL OF OUR TWO-PIECE GRIPS WILL WORK ON ONE-PIECE GRIP FRAMES

We include, free of charge,
a conversion kit which allows these two-piece grips to mount onto a one-piece
style grip frame, which do not have a grip pin in the frame.  Our
conversion kit replaces the need for a grip pin and is actually a stronger
design, and locks the grips tightly against the frame, allowing no
movement.  This gives you the advantage of the ease of maintenance of
two-piece grips, while preserving the integrity of your revolver in original
factory condition.  Easy installation instructions, along with grip
screw included.

WHAT THESE WILL FIT:

These grips WILL FIT
the UBERTI / CIMARRON LIGHTNING Single Action revolvers.  These revolvers are made by Uberti and imported by
Cimarron. 

The Uberti Lightning is a Single Action replica of the famous Colt
M1877 Double Action Revolver, which is noted for being the first successful
US-made double action revolver, and was designed by William Mason, the inventor
of the legendary Colt Model 1873 Single Action Army.  Uberti has recreated the Colt M1877 with
Single Action lockwork, which is much more robust and reliable than the
original.

Please note that this auction is for the revolvers which have the
humped curve on the backstrap, and will NOT fit the somewhat similar Uberti
Birdshead style, which has a smooth backstrap.  Also, these will NOT fit the Thunderer and similar
sized revolvers, which use a larger grip.  Please take a look at the pictures carefully to
note the difference.  If you have a Birdshead style grip, or a
Thunderer, please visit our store or check our other auctions to find the
correct grip.  Or you can also click “Uberti” under our Store

Please also note that these will NOT fit the Pietta Thunderball,
or any other make of revolver.

Magna-Tusk™ Ivory grips, an exclusive of Arizona
Custom Grips, are manufactured out of a super high-grade, ultra-high
density Ivory material developed exclusively for our premium grip
production.  Vastly superior to standard
bonded ivory found on factory and other aftermarket Ivory grips, Magna-Tusk™ is
capable of withstanding the heaviest recoil and impact, and is the toughest
alternative ivory material available today, while still retaining the pristine
look of real ivory.  It is completely
rock-solid, stable, and water, chemical, and oil resistant.  It is flame and heat resistant, and is
entirely void-free, with over 10x the strength, durability, and impact
resistance of alternative materials. 
Unlike with real ivory, there is no routine care and maintenance
involved, with no danger of it drying out and cracking if not maintained
properly or if left in the heat.  It is
filled with premium natural and synthetic compounds to produce outstanding
aesthetic properties and mechanical performance.  When aged with our exclusive aging process,
it takes on the equivalent of a 100-year-old patina, with subtle grain details
which many experts cannot tell apart from the real thing.  In addition, the material has a fine grain
structure, which holds intricate detail for carvings, imitation stag, etc.,
found on many historic grips.
