two-PIECE
(with SCREWHOLE) STYLE

THIS AUCTION IS FOR OUR
TWO-PIECE (SCREWHOLE) STYLE GRIPS
SEE BELOW.

********

A Choice for Every
User! Two-Piece grips, in addition to a visible screw, have a grip pin installed
in the grip frame to help hold them in place.
One-Piece grips (grips with no visible screw) use a spacer between the
panels, with no screw and no grip pin.  Our
grips will interchange and work on either style of grip frame.
  See below.

One-Piece style grips (i.e., grips
which do not have a visible screwhole in the grips) incorporate a user
installed spacer (included with the grips) between the grip panels, as seen on
many of the early Colts.  This results in
a rock-tight fit, without the need of a screw.
Preferred by many collectors for their clean lines and traditional look,
One-Piece style grips are removed by removing the three backstrap screws, and
pulling the grip and backstrap backwards.
Reinstallation is in reverse order.
Our One-Piece style grips will work on either style gripframe (either
One-Piece or Two-Piece style grip frames).
Fully illustrated instructions included for quick and easy installation.

Alternatively, our Two-Piece style
grips (i.e., grips with a visible screw) offer the superior convenience of
quick grip removal.  Unlike with
One-Piece grips, the backstrap need not be removed to remove the grips for
cleaning and maintenance of the revolver.
Our Two-Piece grips include a free C
onversion kit (allowing their use on One-Piece style frames) which
replaces the need for a grip pin and is actually a stronger design, and allows
the grips to lock up tight, allowing no movement.
This
requires no modification to your revolver and gives you the advantage of the
ease of maintenance of Two-Piece grips, while preserving the integrity of your
revolver in original factory condition. Two-Piece style grips were
also used on many of the early Colts, and are a traditional and iconic
historical design, offering a distinctive look and convenience preferred by
many collectors.

Fully illustrated, detailed instructions
are included with each set of grips.

WHAT
THESE WILL and WILL NOT FIT – Please read this section in its entirety to
ensure you get the correct grip.  A few
minutes spent now will avoid unnecessary delay later on
.

This auction is
for a set of Genuine Magna-Tusk™ grips for any of the UBERTI made 1873 SAA (Single Action Army) style revolvers, with the
standard
sized
(around 3-1/6” to 3-1/8” tall) “plowhandle” style grip frames.  [Please
note that these will NOT fit the taller 1860 Army sized 3-3/8” gripframes – see
below].

These will be
marked “Uberti,” and may also (but not necessarily be) marked by the U.S.
importer, such as “Cimarron,” “Taylors & Co.”, “Navy Arms”, “Stoeger”,  “EMF”, etc.
The important thing to determine is that the revolver was made by Uberti
and not by some other maker.  If you see
your revolver listed below, then these grips WILL FIT (subject to the few exceptions
noted below).

These grips will fit any of the following
Uberti-made revolvers with the standard
sized
“plowhandle” style gripframe:

  Cimarron
Uberti revolvers
:  Buntline; Cattleman
; Cattleman II; Chisholm; Desperado; El Patron; Evil Roy; Frisco; Holy Smoker; Hombre; Horseman; Cimarron Model P and Model P Jr.; New Sheriff; Old West; Pistoleer; Rooster Shooter; Short Stroke CMS Pro; Short Stroke SASS Pro; Stallion; Thunderstorm and Thunderstorm CM; US Military
Models (Custer 7th Cavalry,
U.S. Cavalry Scout,
and U.S.V.
Artillery)
; Wyatt Earp Buntline, and

3-3/8” gripframe – see below)

the larger 3-3/8” gripframe – see below);

Also: Will also fit any of Stoeger’s
Uberti revolvers; the E.M.F. Dakota II
or Dakota III;
the American Arms Regulator;  or any other Uberti
SAA style revolver with the standard
sized (3-1/6” to 3-1/8”) plowhandle grip frame
.

Note: If you do
not see your revolver listed, please drop us an email with your model name and
we will verify your revolver.

UBERTI FRAME
VARIATIONS -- IMPORTANT!

*PLEASE NOTE: Over the years Uberti has used multiple variations of gripframes on
their SAA style revolvers, and they are not interchangeable.  Accordingly, please attach a note to your
order informing us of the two-digit
code
found in the small rectangular box stamped underneath or on the
side of the receiver (or occasionally found under the barrel).  This is shown in the second photo as an
example.  This can be either letters or
numbers.

Also, please include the first three digits of your
serial number.  If there is a letter
before before your serial number (some will have it and some won’t), please
also include that.  This will tell us the
gripframe variation you have, and we will need this information to make sure
you get the correct grips.  If we do not
receive this information from you, we will send out the most common variation
for the latest models.

What these WILL NOT FIT

1.  Please note that these grips will NOT fit other makes of revolvers,
such as revolvers made by Pietta, Armi San Marco, Colt, Ruger, etc.

Also, please note
that these grips are made to fit the standard “Plowhandle” shaped (“SAA style”)
gripframes only; these grips will NOT
fit completely differently shaped gripframes, such as the Bisley, the
Birdshead, the Thunderer or the Lightning style gripframes.  Please check your revolver to make sure you
do not have one of these, or send us a photo of your gripframe if you are
unsure. We make grips for all of these different styles which you can find in
our store, so please email if you have any questions or cannot find what you
need.  A photo would of your gripframe or
grips be helpful.

2.  ALSO
PLEASE NOTE
, as a reminder, these grips are made for STANDARD SIZED grip frames ONLY and WILL NOT FIT any larger (taller) 1860 Army sized grip frames.  Please check your grip frame measurement
prior to ordering

Your
grips or grip frame should measure somewhere between 3-1/16 – 3-1/8” tall, depending on how you hold your ruler,
tape, or caliper.

Some revolvers use
a taller 3-3/8” 1860 Army sized grip.
Taylor & Co.’s Gunfighter or
Gunfighter Defender
, Taylor’s Cattleman
44 Mag.,
Cimarron’s Bad Boy, the El Patron Grizzly Paw, and the Uberti Callahan, for example, have a taller 3-3/8”
grip frame.   If you have one of these,
our Uberti 1860 Army “Conversion & Metallic Cartridge” grips will fit these
revolvers.  Please see our store and
search under the proper category or email us if you cannot find what you need.

IN SUMMARY: 1) Make sure you have the standard “plowhandle” shaped 3-1/8”
gripframe and not the taller 3-3/8” frame, and that your revolver was made by
UBERTI; and 2) please send us the two-digit code found on your revolver (as
shown in the second photo), and the first three digits of your serial number,
including the prefixed letter if there is one.

Please contact us
if you cannot find what you need, or if you have any questions.  We are always happy to help.

Arizona Custom Grips

About our exclusive Magna-Tusk™ “Hi-Grade”
Ivory and Stag Grips:

Magna-Tusk™ Ivory and Stag grips, an
exclusive of Arizona Custom Grips, are manufactured out of our
super high-grade, ultra-high density material developed exclusively for our
premium grip production.  Vastly superior to standard bonded ivory or
stag found on factory and other aftermarket grips, Magna-Tusk™ is capable of
withstanding the heaviest recoil and impact, and is the toughest alternative grip
material available today, while still retaining the pristine look of real ivory
or stag.  It is completely rock-solid, stable, and water, chemical,
and oil resistant.  It is flame and heat resistant, and is entirely
void-free, with over 10x the strength, durability, and impact resistance of
alternative materials.  Unlike with real ivory or stag, there is no
routine care and maintenance involved, with no danger of it drying out and
cracking if not maintained properly or if left in the heat.  It is
filled with premium natural and synthetic compounds to produce outstanding
aesthetic properties and mechanical performance.  When aged with our
exclusive aging process, it takes on the equivalent of a 100-year-old patina,
with subtle grain details which many experts cannot tell apart from the real
thing.  In addition, the material has a fine grain structure, which
holds intricate detail for carvings, artistic relief work, etc., found on many
historic grips.

About Our Aging Process:

Unlike
the lightweight artificial yellow plastic materials sometimes offered for sale,
Magna-Tusk aged grips start out as a solid block of white virgin Magna-Tusk
Ivory.  Grip blanks are then milled from this
premium material, incorporating both CNC techniques for blanking and being
finished and polished with the same process used in manufacturing the
originals.  They are then carefully aged with
our exclusive aging process, incorporating concentrated UV light (the essential
aging property in natural sunlight), in a hermetically sealed environment.

Although this process is a much slower process than artificial
coloring methods, the result speaks for itself.
Our process produces an authentic appearance and genuine patina which extends
into the surface, just like real ivory or stag.
Not only does this
give it the appearance of authenticity and depth, but this surface will not
chip, crack, or peel like a superficially applied coating.  Accept no substitutes.
With Magna-Tusk aged grips, most experts cannot tell them apart
from a decades-old or even a centuries-old original.  While the quality difference is somewhat
noticeable in the photos, the difference is even more apparent when seen and
handled in person.  Many of our repeat sales
are made by the very customers we sell to, who take their custom-stocked
revolvers to the range or club, where the quality difference is immediately seen
and appreciated by fellow shooters.

Magna-Tusk grips have all the authenticity of the originals, with
several improvements over original materials including increased durability, and
are made to last a lifetime.  They
feature subtle but authentic color mottling, grain variegation, and other
authentic minute details found on original old Ivory and aged Stag, as seen on
many of the revolvers which belonged to gunfighters and lawmen of the Old
West.  Dense, heavy, and solid, Magna-Tusk grips are in a class all their
own.
With our exclusive aging process, these grips
are outstanding right out of the box, and will continue to improve over
time.  The more these grips are handled
and used, the better they look!
