two-PIECE
(with SCREWHOLE) STYLE
One-Piece vs. Two-Piece
Grips: Many people prefer the clean lines of a grip without a
screwhole (One-Piece), while others prefer the look and convenience of a
Two-Piece grip (with a screw), which is easier to remove for cleaning or
maintenance. Both styles were originally
made by Colt in the 1800’s, and both are historically correct. Whichever style you choose really depends on
the look you are after. We manufacture
both styles.
Note: ANY of
our grips, whether ONE-PIECE OR TWO PIECE style, will interchange and
work on either style of grip frame.
THIS AUCTION IS FOR THE TWO-PIECE (SCREWHOLE) STYLE.
We include, free of charge, a conversion kit
which allows these two-piece grips to mount onto a one-piece style grip frame
(without a grip pin). Our conversion kit replaces the need for a
grip pin and is actually a stronger design, and locks the grips up tight
against the frame, allowing no movement.
This
gives you the advantage of the ease of maintenance of two-piece grips, while
preserving the integrity of your revolver in original factory condition.
Grip screw, conversion kit, and
full instructions with illustrations are included with each set of grips.
Whichever style you choose, you
are guaranteed to get the best quality grips on the market, made to last a
lifetime, for your shooting pleasure and enjoyment.

WHAT THESE WILL FIT (Please read this through in its
entirety):
These Grips WILL FIT:
ANY of the standard sized UBERTI 1873 Single Action Army “plowhandle”
style revolvers. Uberti’s standard sized
grips will measure
somewhere between 3-1/16 – 3-1/8” tall, depending on how you hold your
ruler, tape, or caliper.
These will be
marked “Uberti,” and may also (but not necessarily) be marked by the U.S. importer,
such as “Cimarron,” “Taylors & Co.”, “Navy Arms”, or “EMF”, etc.
Besides fitting
any standard Uberti SAA style revolver as mentioned above, these grips will fit
(and are properly milled, fitted, and specked) for any of the following:
Cimarron / Uberti Cattleman, 1873 Cattleman II, Cimarron Model
P, Evil Roy, El Patron, Hombre*, American Arms Regulator*, Cimarron New Sheriff,
Uberti US 7th Cavalry, U.S.V.
Artillery, and Cavalry Scout, Pistoleer, Holy Smoker, Wyatt Earp
Buntline, Rooster Shooter, Chisholm, Cody, Desperado, Frisco, Old West, Stallion, Buntline, Horseman, SASS Pro, CMS Pro, E.M.F. Dakota II* or Dakota III*;
Also: Taylor’s & Co. Smoke
Wagon, Cattleman, Gambler, Cattleman 12-Shot, Runnin’
Iron, Taylor Marshall, Drifter, Devil Anse, Old Randall*,
and Ranch Hand*;
Also: Any of
Stoeger’s Uberti revolvers, or any Uberti SAA style revolver with the standard
sized grip frame, or Uberti revolver from any other importer, even without a
specific name or designation. If you
have a standard SAA style revolver marked Uberti, these will fit.
*PLEASE NOTE: if you have a BRASS gripframe
(such as found on the Hombre, the Regulator, the Dakota II or III, Old Randall,
or Ranch Hand revolvers), you MUST contact us prior to ordering and
let us know what you have, as these grips may require additional specifications,
profiling, and machining cuts.
What these WILL NOT FIT:
1. Please note that these grips are made to fit ONLY the Uberti Model 1873 style Single Action revolvers, with the
typical “plowhandle” shaped gripframe, and will NOT fit other makes of revolvers (such as Pietta, Armi San
Marco, Colt, Ruger, etc.). These grips will
also NOT fit the Bisley, the
Birdshead, the Thunderer or the Lightning style revolvers, from ANY maker, which
use a completely different shaped grip frame.
Please email if you have any questions.
2. In addition, these WILL NOT FIT grip frames which are around 3-3/8” tall. To make sure you are ordering the correct
grip, please check your grip frame measurement prior to ordering. Your grips
or grip frame should measure somewhere between 3-1/16 – 3-1/8” tall, depending on how you hold your ruler,
tape, or caliper. The important thing is
to make sure they are NOT around 3-3/8” tall.
Taylor & Co.’s Gunfighter, Cimarron Bad Boy,
the El Patron Grizzly Paw, and the
Uberti Callahan, for example, have
the taller 3-3/8” grip frame. If you have one of these, any of our Uberti
1860 Army Conversion & Metallic Cartridge revolver grips are milled to work
for these, as well as the Conversions.
Please send us an
email and tell us your specific model if you cannot locate what you need, or if
you have any questions. We are always
happy to help.
A note on
the Italian-produced Revolvers:
The
Italian firms, located in Northern Italy, have been making SAA style revolvers
now for well over a half century, and have made a huge number of makes and
models and grip frame profiles with varying configurations over the years. We have an in-depth knowledge of the
differing grip configurations, have a large library of gripframe variations
from the various makers both old and new, and have vast experience making grips
for Uberti, Pietta, Armi San Marco, and the other Italian gunmaking firms. Our experienced makers go to great lengths
to ensure an exacting fit, including utilizing modern precision CNC production
techniques, as well as incorporating old-time hand tuning and hand checking the
fit of every grip on our reference frames prior to leaving our factory. We have a long list of many satisfied
customers in the shooting industry who have purchased grips to use in a wide
variety of applications, and we can safely and confidently guarantee proper fit
and finish to your complete satisfaction.
For an
additional charge, custom fitting is an option.

Arizona Custom Grips
About our exclusive Magna-Tusk™ “Hi-Grade”
Ivory and Stag Grips:
Magna-Tusk™ Ivory and Stag grips, an
exclusive of Arizona Custom Grips, are manufactured out of our
super high-grade, ultra-high density material developed exclusively for our
premium grip production. Vastly superior to standard bonded ivory or
stag found on factory and other aftermarket grips, Magna-Tusk™ is capable of
withstanding the heaviest recoil and impact, and is the toughest alternative grip
material available today, while still retaining the pristine look of real ivory
or stag. It is completely rock-solid, stable, and water, chemical,
and oil resistant. It is flame and heat resistant, and is entirely
void-free, with over 10x the strength, durability, and impact resistance of
alternative materials. Unlike with real ivory or stag, there is no
routine care and maintenance involved, with no danger of it drying out and
cracking if not maintained properly or if left in the heat. It is
filled with premium natural and synthetic compounds to produce outstanding
aesthetic properties and mechanical performance. When aged with our
exclusive aging process, it takes on the equivalent of a 100-year-old patina,
with subtle grain details which many experts cannot tell apart from the real
thing. In addition, the material has a fine grain structure, which
holds intricate detail for carvings, artistic relief work, etc., found on many
historic grips.
About Our Aging Process:
Unlike
the lightweight artificial yellow plastic materials sometimes offered for sale,
Magna-Tusk aged grips start out as a solid block of white virgin Magna-Tusk
Ivory. Grip blanks are then milled from
this premium material, incorporating both CNC techniques for blanking and
finishing techniques similar to those used in manufacturing the originals. They are then carefully aged with our
exclusive aging process, incorporating concentrated UV light (the essential
aging property in natural sunlight).
Our process produces an authentic appearance and genuine patina
which extends into the surface, just like real ivory or stag. Not only does this
give it the appearance of authenticity and depth, but this surface will not
chip, crack, or peel like a superficially applied coating. Accept no substitutes. With Magna-Tusk aged grips, most experts cannot tell them apart
from a decades-old or even a centuries-old original. While the quality difference is somewhat
noticeable in the photos, the difference is even more apparent when seen and
handled in person. Many of our repeat
sales are made by the very customers we sell to, who take their custom-stocked
revolvers to the range or club, where the quality difference is immediately
seen and appreciated by fellow shooters.
Magna-Tusk grips have all the authenticity of the originals, with
several improvements over original materials including increased durability,
and are made to last a lifetime. They
feature subtle but authentic color mottling, grain variegation, and other
authentic minute details found on original old Ivory and aged Stag, as seen on
many of the revolvers which belonged to gunfighters and lawmen of the Old
West. Dense, heavy, and solid, Magna-Tusk grips are in a class all their
own. With our exclusive aging process, these grips
are outstanding right out of the box, and will continue to improve over
time. The more these grips are handled
and used, the better they look!
