two-PIECE
(with SCREWHOLE) STYLE
THIS AUCTION IS FOR OUR
TWO-PIECE (SCREWHOLE) STYLE GRIPS. SEE BELOW.
********
ONE-PIECE VS. TWO-PIECE STYLE GRIPS:
A Choice for Every
User! Two-Piece style grips incorporate a visible screw and screwhole, allowing
easy and quick removal for cleaning or maintenance of your revolver. One-piece style grips do not use a screw but
instead use an internal spacer. Both
styles are traditional and historical designs and both were originally used on
early Colts, so it is a matter of personal preference. Both styles of our grips will interchange
and work on either style of grip frame.
See below.
One-Piece style grips (i.e., grips
which do not have a visible screwhole in the grips) incorporate a user
installed spacer (included with the grips) between the grip panels, as seen on
many of the early Colts. The spacer is
sent unmounted to ensure optimum fit with your revolver, with simple, quick
installation which takes about one minute or so per grip. Fully illustrated instructions are
included. This results in a rock-tight
fit, without the need of a screw. Preferred
by many collectors for their clean lines and traditional look. One-Piece style
grips are removed by removing the three backstrap screws, and pulling the grip
and backstrap backwards. Reinstallation
is in reverse order.
Alternatively, our Two-Piece style
grips (i.e., grips with a visible screw and screwhole) offer the superior
convenience of quick grip removal. They
include a free Conversion kit, allowing
their use on revolvers that are currently using one-piece style grips that do
not have a grip pin. The conversion kit replaces
the need for a grip pin and is actually a stronger design, and allows the grips
to lock up tight on the frame, allowing no movement. This
requires no modification to your revolver and gives you the advantage of the
ease of maintenance of Two-Piece grips, while preserving the integrity of your
revolver in original factory condition. Two-Piece style grips were
also used on many of the early Colts, and are a traditional and iconic
historical design, offering a distinctive look and convenience preferred by
many collectors.
Fully illustrated, detailed instructions
are included with each set of grips. 01042300

WHAT THESE WILL FIT
(Please
read this entire section carefully in order to make sure you get the correct grips):
These WILL FIT any of the UBERTI Single Action Army style revolvers, with the standard sized SAA
“plowhandle” grip frame, which measures around 3-1/16” to 3-1/8” tall,
depending on how you hold your ruler, tape, or caliper. [Note: please see the note below
regarding the non-standard, taller sized (3-3/8”) 1860 Army sized gripframes].
This includes any of the following (all of which are made by Uberti
and imported by Cimarron, E.M.F., Taylor’s & Co., Stoeger, etc.):
● Cimarron
Uberti revolvers: Buntline; Cattleman; Cattleman II; Chisholm; Desperado; El Patron; Evil Roy; Frisco; Holy Smoker; Hombre; Horseman; Cimarron Model P and Model P Jr.; New Sheriff; Old West; Pistoleer; Rooster Shooter; Short Stroke CMS Pro; Short Stroke SASS Pro; Stallion; Thunderstorm and Thunderstorm CM; US Military
Models (Custer 7th Cavalry,
U.S. Cavalry Scout, and U.S.V.
Artillery); Wyatt Earp Buntline, and
Wyatt Earp Cody;
● Taylor’s
& Co. Uberti revolvers: Cattleman (NOTE: these will NOT fit the Cattleman .44 Mag which uses the larger
3-3/8” gripframe – see below); Cattleman
12-Shot; Devil Anse; Drifter; Gambler; Old Randall; Outlaw Legacy; Ranch Hand; Runnin’ Iron;
Smoke Wagon; Stallion .22, Taylor Gambler;
and Taylor Marshall. (Note:
will NOT fit the Taylor’s Gunfighter or Gunfighter Defender, both of which use
the larger 3-3/8” gripframe – see below);
● Also: Will also fit any of Stoeger’s
Uberti revolvers; the E.M.F. Dakota II
or Dakota III; the American Arms Regulator;
● or
any other Uberti SAA style revolver with
the standard sized (3-1/6” to 3-1/8”) plowhandle grip frame.
Note: If you do
not see your revolver listed, please drop us an email with your model name and
we will verify your revolver.
IMPORTANT: Please note that these grips will only fit Uberti revolvers having the standard
sized SAA style gripframe (somewhere around 3-1/16” to 3-1/8” tall depending on how you hold your ruler, tape,
or caliper). These WILL NOT fit Uberti gripframes that
are around 3-3/8” tall (such as Taylor & Co.’s Gunfighter or Gunfighter Defender, Taylor’s Cattleman 44 Mag., Cimarron’s Bad
Boy, the El Patron Grizzly Paw,
the Uberti Callahan, etc).
Please check this carefully before ordering. If you have one of these taller frames, our
Uberti 1860 Army “Conversion & Metallic Cartridge” grips will fit these
revolvers. Please contact us if you
cannot find what you need.
UBERTI FRAME
VARIATIONS -- IMPORTANT!
*PLEASE NOTE: Over the years Uberti has used multiple variations of gripframes on
their SAA style revolvers, and they are not interchangeable. IF
your revolver has a two-digit code inside a small rectangular box (as shown in
the second picture in this listing), or if your revolver alternatively is
marked with Roman numerals (i.e., “XXX” or “XXIV”), please send that code to
us. If after a careful inspection you
find that your revolver does not have the code (which many of the newer
revolvers do not), you do not need to send the code.
What these WILL NOT FIT:
These WILL NOT FIT any revolvers from
other makers (such as Pietta, Armi San Marco, Colt, Ruger, etc.). Also, these will NOT fit revolvers
using a gripframe that is not the standard “plowhandle” shape, such as the
Bisley, the Birdshead, the Thunderer, Thunderball, or the Lightning style
gripframes, nor any of the Remington style revolvers such as the 1858, 1875, or
1890.
Please take a careful look at the shape of your gripframe. These are for the “plowhandle” style
revolvers only.

A note on
the Italian-produced Revolvers:
The
Italian firms, located in Northern Italy, have been making SAA style revolvers
now for well over a half century, and have made a huge number of makes and
models and grip frame profiles with varying configurations over the years. We have an in-depth knowledge of the
differing grip configurations, have a large library of gripframe variations
from the various makers both old and new, and have vast experience making grips
for Uberti, Pietta, Armi San Marco, and the other Italian gunmaking firms. Our experienced makers go to great lengths
to ensure an exacting fit, including utilizing modern precision CNC production
techniques, as well as incorporating old-time hand tuning and hand checking the
fit of every grip on our reference frames prior to leaving our factory. We have a long list of many satisfied

Arizona Custom Grips
About Magna-Tusk™ Ivory
and Stag Grips:
Magna-Tusk™ Ivory and Stag grips, a
product of Arizona Custom Grips, are manufactured out of our
high-grade, high density ivory material designed from the beginning as a premium,
high-strength grip material. Vastly
superior to standard bonded ivory or stag found on most factory and other
aftermarket grips, Magna-Tusk™ is capable of withstanding the heaviest recoil
and impact, and is the toughest alternative grip material available today,
while still retaining the pristine look of real ivory or stag. It is
rock-solid, stable, and water, chemical, and oil resistant. It is
flame and heat resistant, and is entirely void-free, with over 10x the
strength, durability, and impact resistance of alternative materials. Unlike
with real ivory or stag, there is no routine care and maintenance involved,
with no danger of it drying out and cracking if not maintained properly or if
left in the heat. It is filled with premium natural compounds to
produce outstanding aesthetic properties and mechanical
performance. When aged with our natural aging process, it takes on
the equivalent of a 100-year-old patina, with subtle grain details which many
experts cannot tell apart from the real thing. In addition, the material
has a fine grain structure, which holds intricate detail for carvings, artistic
relief work, etc., found on many historic grips.
