oNE-PIECE
(nO SCREWHOLE) STYLE grips

THIS LISTING IS FOR OUR
ONE-PIECE (NO SCREWHOLE) STYLE GRIPS

********

ONE-PIECE VS. TWO-PIECE STYLE GRIPS EXPLAINED:

Note: One-Piece style grips do not have a visible
screw but instead use an internal spacer to mount the grips.  Two-Piece style grips incorporate a visible
screw, allowing easy and quick removal for cleaning or maintenance of your
revolver.  We manufacture both
types.  Both styles of our grips will
interchange and work on either style of grip frame, no matter how your revolver
is currently set up.
  Both styles are
traditional and historical designs and both were originally used on early
Colts, so whichever style you choose is really a matter of personal
preference.

One-Piece
style grips (i.e., grips with no visible screwhole in the grips) incorporate a spacer
(included with the grips) which is user mounted to the inside of the grip
panels to hold them in place instead of a using a screw.  To ensure optimum fit and best performance, the
spacer is sent unmounted since all gripframes vary slightly in inside
dimensions.  Installation is simple and
generally takes only a few minutes.
Illustrated instructions included with each order.  This results in a rock-tight fit, without the
need of a screw.  One-Piece grips are preferred
by many collectors for their clean lines and traditional look, and are seen on
many early Colts. Once mounted, they are fully removable by removing the three
backstrap screws, and will not alter your revolver in any way.  Reinstallation is in reverse order.

Alternatively, our Two-Piece style
grips (i.e., grips with a visible screw) offer the superior convenience of
quick grip removal using only the screw (also included with the grips).  Our Two-Piece style grips also include our
proprietary C
onversion Kit, allowing
their use on revolvers that do not have a grip pin in the frame (as is the case
with most Italian-made revolvers and others that currently have a one-piece
style grip).  The Conversion Kit replaces
the need for a grip pin and is actually a stronger design, and allows the grips
to lock up tight on the frame, allowing no movement.  T
his
requires no modification to your revolver.
Two-piece grips give you the advantage of easier access to your revolver
for cleaning and maintenance, while preserving the integrity of your revolver
in original factory condition. Two-Piece style grips were also used
on many of the early Colts, and are a traditional and iconic historical design,
offering a distinctive look and convenience preferred by many shooters and collectors.

Fully
illustrated, easy-to-follow mounting instructions are included with every order.

UBERTI GRIPFRAME
VARIATIONS -- IMPORTANT!

  PLEASE
NOTE!!

Over the years Uberti has used multiple variations of gripframes on
their SAA style revolvers, and each uses a slightly different grip.  We carry grips for each of these different
profiles.  In order for us to ensure that
you get the proper grips, please add
a note to your order with the following date-code information
:

IF your revolver has a two-digit date code inside
a small rectangular box, or circle, as shown in the second picture in this
listing, OR if your revolver alternatively is marked with Roman numerals (i.e.,
“XXX” or “XXIV”), please attach a note to your order with that
information.  Please note that some of
the newer revolvers have the actual date stamped on the frame (i.e., “2022”),
so if that is the case please send that.
Also note that these codes or dates are sometimes also stamped on the
side of the mainframe (under the cylinder), or at the base of the barrel.  Please inspect your revolver carefully under
good light for this information.

If after a careful
inspection you find that your revolver does not have the code (which some of
the newer revolvers do not), please send us the first three digits of the
serial number.

Please note that
if we do not hear from you, we will send the most common style grip profile in
order to get the grip out on time.

Note: “PN” and
“CIP” are Italian proof marks and are NOT the correct date codes.

What these WILL NOT FIT

Please double check frame size:  These grips will only fit Uberti revolvers
having the standard sized SAA style gripframe (around 3-1/16” to 3-1/8” tall depending on how
you hold your ruler, tape, or caliper).
These WILL NOT fit Uberti gripframes that
are around 3-3/8” tall (such as Taylor & Co.’s Gunfighter or Gunfighter
Defender
, Taylor’s Cattleman 44 Mag., Cimarron’s Bad Boy, the El Patron Grizzly Paw,
the Uberti Callahan, etc)Please
check your revolver carefully before ordering
.  If you have one of these taller frames, our
Uberti 1860 Army “Conversion & Metallic Cartridge” grips will fit these
revolvers.  You can locate these in our
store.

.22 Stallion Revolvers:  Please note that these will NOT fit the .22 Caliber Uberti
“Stallion” revolvers, which use a smaller grip.
Please contact us if you have a .22 Stallion so we can supply the proper
grips.

Non-Uberti makers and other grip shapes:  These WILL NOT FIT any revolvers from other makers (such as
Pietta, Armi San Marco, Colt, Ruger, etc.).
Also, these will NOT fit revolvers using a gripframe that is not
the standard “plowhandle” shape, such as the Bisley, the Birdshead, the
Thunderer, Thunderball, or the Lightning style gripframes, nor any of the
Remington style revolvers such as the 1858, 1875, or 1890.  These use an entirely
different gripshape.  Please take a
careful look at the shape of your gripframe.
These are for the standard “plowhandle” style revolvers only.

A note on
the Italian-produced Revolvers:

The
Italian firms, located in Northern Italy, have been making SAA style revolvers
now for well over a half century, and have made a huge number of makes and
models and grip frame profiles with varying configurations over the years.  We have an in-depth knowledge of the
differing grip configurations, have a large library of gripframe variations
from the various makers both old and new, and have vast experience making grips
for Uberti, Pietta, Armi San Marco, and the other Italian gunmaking firms.   Our experienced makers go to great lengths
to ensure an exacting fit, including utilizing modern precision CNC production
techniques, as well as incorporating old-time hand tuning and hand checking the
fit of every grip on our reference frames prior to leaving our factory.  We have a long list of many satisfied
customers in the shooting industry who have purchased grips to use in a wide
variety of applications, and we can safely and confidently guarantee proper fit
and finish to your complete satisfaction.

For an
additional charge, custom fitting is an option.

Arizona Custom Grips

About our exclusive Magna-Tusk™ “Hi-Grade”
Ivory Grips:

Our Ivory grips, an exclusive of Arizona Custom Grips,
are made out of a premium high-grade, ultra-high density ivory material (Magna-Tusk™), designed from the ground
up as a premium grip material to greatly improve on the inherent fragility and
weakness of the cheaper Bonded Ivory used on just about all factory and regular
aftermarket ivory grips today.  Standard
Bonded Ivory is brittle, and tends to weaken and develop stress fractures over
time with repeated use, firing, and handling.
Magna-Tusk™ is capable of withstanding the heaviest recoil and impact,
and is the toughest alternative Ivory grip material available today, while
still retaining the pristine look of real ivory.  These grips are not
cast or made out of an inferior, lightweight material, but are heavy and dense,
carefully milled out of a solid block, one at a time.  Magna-Tusk is completely rock-solid, stable,
and water, chemical, and oil resistant.  It is flame and heat resistant,
will not melt like Urethane or plastic, and is entirely void-free, with over
10x the strength, durability, and impact resistance of alternative
materials.  Unlike with real ivory, there is no routine care and
maintenance involved, with no danger of it drying out and cracking if not
maintained properly or if left in the heat.  It is produced with outstanding
aesthetic properties and mechanical performance.  When aged with our
exclusive aging process, it takes on the equivalent of a 100-year-old patina,
with subtle grain details which most experts cannot tell apart from the real
thing.  In addition, the material has a fine grain structure, which
holds intricate detail for carvings, artistic relief work, etc., found on many
historic grips.

About Our Aging Process:

We
go to great efforts to ensure that our Aged Ivory not only looks similar to real aged ivory, but in fact looks
identical to the real thing.  Our Magna-Tusk blanks will produce an aged
Ivory grip unlike any other material made today.  Through our slow aging process, these grips become
beautifully mottled, variegated, and weathered just like old, antique Ivory, and incorporate other authentic
details found on original old Ivory as seen on many of the revolvers which
belonged to gunfighters and lawmen of the Old West.  As with real aged Ivory, no two are exactly the
same.  Our process produces an authentic
appearance and genuine patina which extends deep into the surface.
Not
only does this give it the appearance of authenticity and depth, but this
surface will not chip, crack, or peel like a superficially applied
coating.
With Magna-Tusk aged grips, most experts
cannot tell them apart from a decades-old or even a centuries-old original.  While the quality difference is somewhat
noticeable in the photos, the difference is even more apparent when seen and
handled in person.  Many of our repeat
sales are made by the very customers we sell to, who take their grips to the
range or club, where our grips are immediately seen and noticed by others.  We are also capable of producing them with a
“clean” aged look if required (i.e., without the mottling, etc.), which is a
simpler process, although most would agree that they do not look quite as
authentic as our regular aged grips.  If
you are interested in ordering grips for a Brace of pistols, please order both
sets together, so we can ensure a good matchup.

Dense, heavy, and solid, Magna-Tusk grips are in a class all their
own.
With our exclusive aging process, these grips
are outstanding right out of the box, and will continue to improve over
time.  The more these grips are handled
and used, the better they look!
